Michael Stutz joined 2Xideas as Chief Investment Officer and Partner in September 2014. In November 2024, he additionally took over the Chief Executive Officer position. He worked as portfolio manager and later as head of portfolio management at a Switzerland-based multi-family office from 2008 to 2014, managing public and private investments, while also serving on the board of a private portfolio company. Michael started his career in private wealth management as a portfolio manager in 2005. He has been involved in the setup and management of a number of investment fund structures.
Michael holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen. He is also a CFA® and CAIA® charterholder.
Henrik Munk-Nielsen is the Deputy CIO and a founding Partner of 2Xideas. Previously, he worked as Deputy Head of European Equities at British Airways Pensions from 1999 to 2012, managing direct investments in public equities across Europe. Henrik started his career at Prudential Insurance Company of America in London in 1994, helping manage a European small and mid cap fund until 1999.
Henrik holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies jointly from Midtjysk Handelshøjskole in Denmark and Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. He is also a CFA® charterholder.
Damien Zanol joined 2Xideas in April 2023 as Risk Manager. From 2014 to 2023, he was the risk manager at Adelphi Capital, a London-based fundamental long/short equity Fund. Damien started his career in finance in 2011 in London as an analyst for Sciens Capital managed account platform, where he worked with PMs on fund of funds portfolio construction.
Damien holds an MSc in Risk and Investment Management from the EDHEC Risk Institute in London, a Master’s in Management from EDHEC Business School and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Paris 10 University.
